About the artist

Micheline Ramos began at a very young age taking drawing and painting courses at the Morin workshop located in Mulhouse, France. It is however in Paris, her native city, that Micheline Ramos acquired her academic and artistic training.

As a regular full time student, she attended the Ecole Bougleux for four years. During these years, she learned, under the guidance of the Fine Arts professors, the theory and the practice of the different media of visual expression. Her training continued full time at La grande Chaumière and the Atelier Charpentier.

She later moved to Quebec, Canada, where she worked a few years at the Atelier du frère Jérôme and participated in group exhibits. Since then, she has continued her career being part of multiple group and solo exhibits. She has also contributed to art books.

For many years she was a member of the cultural council of the Montérégie (Quebec, Canada) and a member of the Circle of Artists-painters of Quebec (Canada).
